Marmande Garnier Rouge
In our opinion, the best of the Marmande varieties. Discovered in 1960 in the French town of Savigny-sur-Orge, Essone, by Mrs. Garnier (from who comes the name of this variety). Fruit are much larger than Marmande (about 300-600g, sometimes even more than a kilogram), red, beautifully ribbed, meaty, juicy, with very good balanced flavor and full of tomato aroma. Very good crack resistant fruit ripen evenly, and are not only tasty, but also beautiful. Indeterminate, regular leaf, strong and very prolific plants with high disease resistance. +/-75-80 days.
