Tarasenko 2 (Тарасенко 2, Гибрид Тарасенко 2)
An old Ukrainian variety, developed by Fedor Tarasenko. The original Russian name is Гибрид Тарасенко 2 and translates as Hybrid Tarasenko 2, but “this is an open pollinated variety. Fedor Tarasenko called his varieties ‘hybrid’ simply because he made crosses using two parents. These crosses were F1 hybrids, but he stabilized them before sharing seeds with other gardeners”* . Indeterminate, regular leaf plants are heavy producers of small, round or slightly oval, pointy red fruits. Very beautiful and really excellent in taste, more sweet than acidic. Perfect for fresh eating and for pickling and for drying. +/-75 days.
